Oil on Canvas - 9 by 6 feet. Painted by Bret Roberts after he returned to Alaska from Italy in March 2020. BR had just finished recording a music album in Pompeii and was fortunate to spend some good time in the ruins, with guide and Music producer Nello Petrucci. The ruins are famous these days for Pink Floyd's epic recordings done there, but the history is much deeper. Nello spoke of the ancient architecture, making walls out of diamond shaped bricks. These patterns stuck with BR as he went back to painting in quarantine in Alaska. This painting was meant to send a reminder to take care of each other during these times and love your neighbor. After the painting was complete, the team began designing many of the clutch and bag options with this pattern of ancient Pompeii. This also became the cover of BR's book of poetry.
